Welcome to our school community, where we are committed to nurturing not only the academic success of our students but also their holistic well-being. At the heart of our mission are our core values—Honour, Excellence, Responsibility, and Opportunity —which were developed collaboratively with our community. These living values guide our actions and decisions, shaping a supportive environment where every student can thrive.
We believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls. Our partnership with families is integral to our approach, as we recognize the vital role that home life plays in a child's development. Our comprehensive Wellbeing Programs for students in Years 7 through 12 are designed to support their growth, both personally and academically. These programs focus on empowering students to discover and utilise their strengths, as inspired by the Berry Street Education Model.
Our dedicated Wellbeing Coordinator, counsellors, year advisors, and social support officer work tirelessly to ensure that every student feels supported. We understand that a student’s ability to engage in learning is profoundly connected to their emotional and mental well-being. Through initiatives like mindfulness training, study skills workshops, and homeroom wellbeing supports, we foster an environment where students can develop resilience and thrive.
We are proud to align our practices with the principles outlined in the Melbourne Declaration, which emphasises the importance of developing successful learners who are confident and creative individuals. I have committed to funding small class sizes to enable us to build strong relationships, allowing for personalised attention and fostering collaboration among students and teachers.
Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to enhance learning experiences, and we provide numerous opportunities for enrichment through programs like High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE). We also maintain strong connections with outside agencies to ensure that our students have access to the resources they need.
In our school, we know who we are and what we stand for. We strive to create an inclusive, positive environment that celebrates diversity and encourages every student to reach their fullest potential. Together, with our families and community, we are committed to creating a bright future for our students.
Thank You,
Ralph David
