How can parents help?

Having discussions with your child/ren about the natural world around them and ask them what they are learning in class. These concepts are best learnt when they are spoken about so children can use their knowledge to explain the world around them. If you get the opportunity, taking your child outside of the city into the natural environment can spark interest in the geographical world. Assisting students with homework and assessment tasks can also be a way you can help your child consolidate the information they learn in class.

How can parents help?

Having discussions with your child/ren about technology changes you have experienced can deepen their knowledge. How has the invention of the smart phone changes your life? Talking about the changes you've experienced gives students background information and knowledge to build upon in class. If you get the opportunity, talking to your child about current world issues surrounding water could also bolster their interactions in class. Assisting students with homework and assessment tasks can also be a way you can help your child consolidate the information they learn in class.
